Designing out crime

The Community Safety Partnership focuses on crime prevention at the design, layout and construction stages of homes and commercial premises.  It ensures thepromotion of use of security standards for a wide range of applications and products.

The Crime Reduction and Architectural Liaison Officer works closely with the Planning departments of both Swale Borough Council and Kent County Council as well as Kent Police's Secured by Design to ensure the prevention of as much crime as possible by appropriate design and construction of any new and redeveloped premises.
