There are currently no related incidents in Swale – and no evidence to suggest that any groups have travelled to Swale to engage in any criminal disorder.  Be assured that all of Swale’s Community Safety Partners, including Kent Police, Swale Borough Council, Kent County Council, Kent Fire and Rescue Services and local Community groups, are working together to ensure that we are able to react swiftly and effectively to any incidents, should they occur.

 

Kent Police maintains its full staff quota to conduct daily Police business in Swale, as well as prevent any problems developing or escalating.  Additional Officers are always available to react quickly should a swift and decisive response be required at any time.

The Partnership has a ‘zero tolerance approach’ to this type of criminality and its agencies will continue to work together, combining all available tools and powers, to take swift and effective action against anyone behaving in an anti-social or criminal manner within our communities.

  • Report any crime in progress, or incidents of a serious nature, on 999.
  • Report any suspicious activity to Kent Police immediately on 01622 690690 (suspicious activity could be anything out of the ordinary i.e. large groups of people gathering).   
  • Report any ‘Tweets’ or social network groups that encourage participation in crime or disorder immediately on 01622 690690 or anonymously to CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
  • Continue to voice any concerns you may have, to not only Police Officers and PCSOs but also Council Wardens, Housing Officers, your local Councillors, Youth workers and parents.
